He has always had an endless fascination by how the world works (science), how people think and feel (psychology and neuroscience), and how he grows and adapts personally (personal development). These passions have shaped his thinking for as long as he can remember.
Werner thrives on fresh perspectives (especially those involving other scientific disciplines) and humour in the form of punsver the last 13 years, Werner established the brand 'Neuromind' under which he consulted to various companies on the application of psychology and neuroscience in business. Neuromind was later re-branded to the current brand 'Connectomes Consulting' which has morphed into the personal home of wernervanzyl.com
Directly related to Werner's insatiable curiosity and love for learning, in 2023 Werner earned a doctorate in business leadership (with a specialisation in knowledge management)
Werner's acoustic and electric guitars are never far from reach, always ready to soundtrack a moment of reflection or creativity. The reading, writing, speaking, talking to friends and colleagues and playing music all serve as inspiration for developing ideas and frameworks used in my consulting.
